GLACEOL RX TYPE D COOLANT

- The coolant is ORANGE in colour.
- Replacement of C type by D type :
- Type D offers better anticorrosion properties in the long term then type C does.
- If type D liquid is used for vehicles which already corroded, it slows down damage by corrosion and sludge deposition.

- Compatibility :
- Type C can be used together with type D for topping up the coolant (adding a maximum of 10 % of type C is acceptable).



Type "D" coolant changes from the colour orange to the colour yellow.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGING OR TOPPING UP THE COOLANT :
1) For all vehicles equipped with type "D" from manufacture (red or yellow) continue to use type "D" (red
or yellow) without flushing out.
2) For all vehicles equipped with type "C" from manufacture (green) and for which the fluid is still green,
you may :
- continue using type "C" (green) without flushing out,
- change over to type "D" (red or yellow). In this situation, it is essential to eliminate all traces of type
"C" fluid by flushing out the cooling circuit, using water only.
3) For all vehicles equipped with type "C" coolant from manufacture, and the colour is no longer green, but
has turned brown, continue to use type "C" coolant :
- when only topping up the coolant level, do not drain or flush out the cooling system,
- when draining the cooling circuit :
. if the cooling circuit is clean, there is no need to flush out the system,
. if the cooling circuit is clogged (due to the age of the vehicle), flush out with water to get rid of any
deposits,
. if the circuit is exceptionally clogged, it is necessary to diagnose the cause of this clogging before
performing any operation. Flushing out using a cleaning product may eliminate all or some of the
dirt, but risks revealing hidden leakages.
